Bay Leasing declares 5% bonus dividend for 2021

The board of directors of Bay Leasing and Investment Limited recommended a 5 per cent stock dividend for the year ended in December 2021.

The decision came during a recently held board meeting of the company, said a filing posted on the website of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.

The company will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) on October 30 for the approval on the issuance of stock dividend, further subject to regulatory approval.

The company will notify the record date to split the declared stocks among eligible shareholders once the stock regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) approved it.

The company’s consolidated earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 0.99 for the calendar year 2021 compared to that of Tk 1.14 in the previous year.

During that time, its net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk 17.82 as against Tk 19.8 in the previous year.

The company kept Tk 97.72 crore in provision against its lease, loans and investment in share, of which Tk 57.72 was added at the end of year 2021.
