The board of directors of Eastern Housing Limited has recommended a 20 per cent cash dividend for the year ended June 2022.
The decision came during a board meeting of the company held Thursday, a source at the company told The Business Post.
According to its financial report, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk5.88 at the end of June this year, compared to Tk3.98 last year.
The company’s net profit surged by 47 per cent to Tk54.88 crore in the just concluded year compared to the figure of TK37.15 crore last year.
The company will hold an annual general meeting (AGM) on November 9 next. It fixed the record date for share splits on October 13.
The company’s share price gained 4.46 per cent to close at Tk79.6 Thursday.
Its market capitalisation stood at Tk711 crore with a paid-up capital of Tk93 crore and surplus reserve of Tk563 crore.
