World Investors Week to begin Monday

The securities regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) is all set to observe the ‘World Investor Week 2022’ to create awareness among general investors and promote the country’s capital market.

The week will begin on Monday and will continue until October 13.

The BSEC is a member country of the association of the international capital market regulator namely as International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).

IOSCO member countries observe the week to raise awareness among investors and lift their investment education.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Abdur Rauf Talukder is expected to attend the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest to be held at the BSEC headquarters in the capital.

Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah, secretary to the financial institutions division, is scheduled to attend there as a special guest.

Several stakeholders will take part in the week-long programme and discuss many issues to promote the country’s capital market.
