eGeneration declares 10% cash dividend for FY22

The board of directors of eGeneration Limited has recommended a 10 per cent cash dividend for its shareholders for the year ended in June 2022.

The decision came during a board meeting of the company held Tuesday.

The publicly traded company’s board recommended the dividend for its general shareholders only, according to a disclosure revealed by the company.

The general public owns 46,672,197 shares out of 75,000,000 in the company.

The company’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 1.43 in FY22, compared to Tk 1.61 in the previous year, the company’s financial report says.

Its restated EPS stood at Tk 1.43 in the fiscal year 2021-22 against Tk 1.40 in the previous year.

The company’s net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk 21.67 in FY22 against Tk 20.86 in the previous year.

The company will hold an annual general meeting (AGM) on December 27 this year through a digital platform.

November 15 has been fixed as the record date for the splits of shares.

The tech company also disbursed a 10 per cent cash dividend for fiscal 2021-22.

Out of the total holdings, its sponsor-directors own a 37.77 per cent stake, while institutional investors, foreign investors, and the general public hold 32.87 per cent, 0.53 per cent and 28.83 respectively till August 2022.

In October 2020, the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) approved the eGeneration’s IPO proposal to raise Tk15 crore from the capital market

eGeneration, which started as a management consulting, technology services, and outsourcing company, now offers data science, system integration, cyber security, natural language processing, and capacity development services to clients.

The company is also doing extensive research on advanced technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Some of its upcoming products include blockchain, cloud computing, data center, agriculture prediction system, money laundering detector, and agriculture automation systems.
