Sea Pearl declares 15% cash dividend for FY22

Sea Pearl Beach Resort and Spa Limited declared a 15 per cent cash dividend for its shareholders for the fiscal year 2021-22, the highest since its listing.

The company was listed on the stock market in 2019. That year, it had paid a 5 per cent bonus dividend. The company had paid a 1 per cent cash dividend for 2020 as well as for 2021.

As per its last financial statement, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 1.34 for FY22 which was Tk 0.61 for FY21.

The company is scheduled to hold a virtual annual general meeting (AGM) on December 22 while the record date is fixed as November 17.

According to the financial statement, Sea Pearl’s net profit rose 120 per cent to Tk 16 crore for FY22 versus Tk 7 crore in FY21.

The ‘B’ category company has a market capitalisation of Tk 1,441 crore while its paid-up capital is around Tk 120 crore. In the company, the sponsor/director holds a 46.83 per cent stake, while institutes own 26.96 per cent and the public 26.21 per cent.
