Chartered Life Insurance Company Ltd has distributed shares among general investors on a pro-rata basis through the electronic subscription system.
The share allotment took place during an event held at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) tower in the capital on Thursday.
DSE Managing Director (acting) M Saifur Rahman Majumdar; Chartered Life Insurance CEO, SM Ziaul Haque and its other senior officials were present on the occasion.
The company had received a total of 22.35 times applications against each share allotted for general investors.
Bangladeshi investors were allotted 30 shares while the non-resident Bangladeshi investors were allotted 89 shares against every application of Tk 10,000.
On July 6 this year, the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) approved the company to go public.
