BICM organises workshop on stock investment

Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) has organised a day-long workshop titled ‘Investment in the Capital Market’ on Saturday to build students' awareness about the capital market and money market.

Around 60 students along with faculty members from Notre Dame University Bangladesh participated in the workshop.

BICM Executive President Dr Mahmuda Akter was present in the workshop to share her valuable words with the students.

The purpose of the workshop was to provide the students with hands-on knowledge in the arena of investment in the capital market. This was done by disseminating recent and updated theoretical and practical knowledge by the faculty members of the BICM.

A brief discussion on the capital market and money market, economic variables, share market trading process and financial statement analysis took place.

The students were encouraged by the faculties to implement the right investment knowledge when investing in the capital market.

The workshop ended with a vote of thanks by BICM Deputy Registrar Asif Imran.
