ICB declares 10% dividend for FY22

The board of directors of the state-owned Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) recommended 5 per cent cash and 5 per cent stock dividend to its shareholders for the year ended in June this year.

The corporation, according to a Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) filing, reported consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 1.79 for the fiscal year 2021-22 against Tk 1.43 in the previous fiscal.

Its net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk 55.59 and consolidated net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) at Tk-0.90 for FY22 versus Tk 54.98 and Tk 0.73 respectively for FY21.

The ICB will hold an annual general meeting (AGM) on December 28 next for the approval of the dividend payout by its shareholders. The record date for the dividend splits has been set as December 1, the DSE filing read.

The disbursal of the stock dividend, however, is subject to regulatory approval.

The lender’s net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) declined last fiscal due to an increase in its payments against deposits, the state-run company said.

The corporation also stated that it was advised to use the bonus shares as capital for the business expansion and that the bonus shares would be deducted from the last fiscal’s profit.

ICB shares stood at Tk 92 per share on the DSE trading floor on Sunday.
