Monno Ceramic alone grabs 8.26% of DSE turnover

The most-traded 10 stocks accounted for 33.75 per cent of the total turnover at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s premier bourse, this week with Monno Ceramic Industries Limited alone contributing to 8.26 per cent.

Monno Ceramic witnessed the trading of 1.06 crore shares worth Tk 138 crore this week, according to DSE data.

The tableware ceramic maker’s shares closed the week at Tk 130.7 per share on the DSE trading floor.

Intraco Refueling Station Limited was the second topper with shares worth Tk 85 crore changing hands.

The company’s shares, however, dropped by 7.89 per cent to close at Tk 42 per share at the end of the week.

The energy service provider contributed 5.04 per cent to the week’s total turnover at the premier bourse.

Bashundhara Paper Mills Limited, according to DSE data, secured the third spot with a turnover of Tk 58.47 crore this week.

The company’s shares closed at Tk 73.8 per share, which was 7.29 per cent lower than the price at the end of the previous week.

The paper manufacturer accounted for 3.48 per cent of the DSE’s weekly turnover.

Meanwhile, Monno Agro & General Machinery Limited made its way to the week’s top turnover chart by securing the fifth position with shares worth Tk 53 crore changing hands.

The company’s share remained unchanged at Tk 862.1 per share on Thursday.

It contributed some 3.16 per cent to the DSE turnover this week.

The turnover of Genex Infosys Limited stood at Tk 49.85 crore this week with a contribution of 2.97 per cent to the total DSE turnover.

The company’s shares gained 0.13 per cent to close at Tk 79.1 on Thursday.

Orion Infusion secured the sixth spot with a turnover of Tk 40.75 crore in the week.

Its shares closed at Tk 528.3 at the end of the week which was down 7.49 per cent from the closing price in the previous week.

The turnover of Orion Pharma Limited stood at Tk 39.69 crore with accounting for 2.36 per cent of the week’s DSE turnover.

The drug maker’s shares price went down by 0.49 per cent to close at Tk 80.8 per share at the end of the week.

Advent Pharma Limited accounted for 2.24 per cent of the week’s total turnover with a figure of Tk 37.63 crore. Its shares closed at Tk 24.1 per share, up 3.43 per against the ending day in the previous week.

Apex Foods Limited and Gemini Sea Food Limited also entered the week’s top 10 turnover chart, which contribution of 1.96 per cent and 1.86 per cent respectively.
