Ten most-traded stocks accounted for 32.48 per cent of the total turnover on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s premier bourse, this week with Orion Infusion Limited contributing to 5.09 per cent alone.
Orion Infusion witnessed trading of 0.11 crore shares worth Tk 54.54 crore this week, according to the DSE data. The company’s shares closed at Tk 527.40 per share on the DSE trading board.
It was followed by Intraco Refueling Station Limited with shares worth Tk 51 crore changing hands. The company’s shares, however, gained 2.02 per cent to close at Tk 40.50 per share at the end of this week with contributing 4.79 per cent to the total turnover on the premier bourse. Monno Ceramic Industries Limited secured the third spot with a turnover of Tk 44.47 crore this week, the DSE data showed.
The company’s shares closed at Tk 820.50 per share, down by 6.12 per cent from the price at the end of the previous week. The ceramic manufacturer accounted for 4.15 per cent of the weekly turnover.
Meanwhile, Orion Pharma Limited topped the week’s turnover chart with its shares worth Tk 36.54 crore changing hands.
The company’s shares gained Tk 38.27 per share on Thursday. It contributed 3.41 per cent to the DSE turnover this week.
The turnover of Bashundhara Paper Mills Limited stood at Tk 48.08 crore this week with contribution of 3.27 per cent to the total DSE turnover.
The company’s shares rose 1.61 per cent to close at Tk 76.5 per share on Thursday.
Genex Infosys Limited secured the sixth spot with a turnover of Tk 32.24 crore this week. Its shares closed at Tk 81 at the end of this week, up by 2.40 per cent from the closing price in the previous week.
The turnover of Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa Limited stood at Tk 28.13 crore with contributing 2.62 per cent to the week’s DSE turnover.
The price of the company’s shares remained unchanged at Tk 186.70 per share at the end of this week.
Bangladesh Shipping Corporation grabbed 2.26 per cent of the week’s total turnover which amounted to Tk 24.19 crore. Its shares closed at Tk 115.03 per share, up by 2.45 per cent compared to the same day in the previous week.
Pragati Life Insurance Limited and ADN Telecom Limited also entered the week’s top 10 turnover chart which contributed 2.19 per cent and 1.70 per cent respectively.
