BSEC gives green signal to PLI Asset’s Tk50cr unit fund

The securities regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has approved the draft prospectus of a Tk 50 crore open-ended unit fund— PLI AML 1st Unit Fund.

The regulator approved the unit fund’s draft proposal at a meeting held at the commission headquarters with its Chairman Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam in the chair yesterday.

Popular Life Insurance Company is the sponsor of the fund which has initially invested Tk 25 crore. The remnant Tk 25 crore will be sourced from the general public.

The general public will be able to buy the unit fund at a price of Tk 10 per unit.

PLI Asset Management acts as the fund manager, while ICB Capital Management is the trustee of the unit fund.

Brac Bank will act as the custodian of the fund.
