Oimex Electrode suffers Tk1.61cr loss in Q2

Oimex Electrode Limited reported a net loss of Tk 1.61 crore in the October-December quarter of the current fiscal year against a loss of Tk 2.75 crore in the same period last fiscal.

With this figure, the company's loss in the first half of FY23 stood at Tk 3.56 crore, down from a loss of Tk 5.17 crore in the July-December period of FY22.

The electrode, nails and galvanised wire manufacturer’s loss per share stood at Tk 0.24 for the October-December period this fiscal against the loss per share of Tk 0.41 for the corresponding period last year.

Its July-December loss per share stood at Tk 0.53, against the loss per share of Tk 0.77 for the July-December period of last fiscal.

The board of directors of Oimex Electrode Limited recommended a 1 per cent cash dividend to its

shareholders, other than sponsors and directors, for the fiscal year 2021-22.

The company went public to raise a capital of Tk15 crore in 2017.
