Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has been certified with a Rated-3 Design Certificate for its modern data center facilities in Nikunja Tower,Dhaka. By establishing this data center DSE aims to ensure a highly available trading platform for their investors and stakeholders.
A Rated-3 data center ensures that there are multiple independent power distribution paths serving the ICT equipment which can be simultaneously maintained. This ensures that each component can be replaced or serviced without disrupting the operations of the end-user.
The Data Center is facilitated with 106 racks which are equipped with servers, networks, storage and other production capabilities, says a press release.
The facility part of the data center has been completed and the application migration process is underway. The DSE Tower Data Center will go live for trading platforms soon.
M Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar, acting managing director of DSE, has expressed his gratitude to the consortium led by OneWorld InfoTech for their efforts and hopes to launch the new data center at DSE Tower. Maruf Ahmed, Global Director - Technology and Services, OneWorld InfoTech also expressed his pride in being associated with such a big initiative as DSE’s data center and thanked everyone for their overall cooperation.
