Chittagong Stock Exchange PLC (CSE) conducted an online training programme on securities law compliance for the compliance officers of its TREC holder companies in Dhaka, Sylhet, and Chattogram.
The two-day training programme was held on March 12 and 13, says a press release.
The training was led by CSE’s Inspection and Enforcement Department officers, Zahid Uddin Ahmed and Kanka Nandi, while M Sadek Ahmed, head of the Training and Awareness Department of CSE, conducted the programme.
During the event, trainers discussed all aspects of securities law, including relevant interpretations of laws and proper procedures for report preparation. They also provided detailed information about the types of mistakes that are likely to be made while preparing various reports.
In his closing remarks, CSE’s Chief Regulatory Officer Mohammad Mahadi Hasan emphasised the importance of regularly updating the concerned officers on new laws and providing them with appropriate securities law knowledge. He also highlighted the significance of transparency and agility in the capital market.
