New DSE board pays tribute to Bangabandhu

The newly appointed board of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a floral wreath on his memorial at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital on Sunday.

DSE Chairman Dr Hafiz Muhammad Hasan Babu placed the floral wreath, while the bourse’s directors Dr Abdullah Al Mahmud, Md Afzal Hossain, and Rubaba Dowla accompanied him.

DSE’s Acting Managing Director Saifur Rahman Mazumdar and other high officials also attended the ceremony.

Dhaka University Professor Hafiz Muhammad Hasan Babu was elected as the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on March 5.

Earlier on 20 February, the securities regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission appointed four new independent directors on the DSE board and Professor Hafiz Muhammad Hasan Babu is one of them.
