Top 10 traded cos account for 38.6% of DSE turnover

Shares of the most traded 10 companies accounted for 38.64 per cent of the total turnover of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) this week.

Genex Infosys Limited topped the turnover chart of the prime bourse, with its 1.78 crore shares changing hands.

The total trading outlay of the IT-sector company was Tk 178 crore in the week, which was 6.17 per cent of the total weekly turnover of the capital bourse, as per DSE data.

Eastern Housing Limited was the second-top traded stock, with Tk 177 crore worth of shares changing hands during the week under review.

Aamra networks limited clinched the third spot, with shares worth of Tk 148 crore changing hands.

The company’s share price rose 0.14 per cent to close at Tk 73 per share on Thursday. On the other hand, Bangladesh Shipping Corporation emerged fourth with its shares worth of Tk 134 crore changing hands.

The company’s share closed at Tk 127.10 each, losing 0.70 per cent on Thursday.

Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC notched the fifth spot, with its shares worth of Tk 110 crore changing hands.

The company’s share closed at Tk 73.50 each on Thursday.

The remaining top traded shares are Gemini Sea Food Limited, ADN Telecom Limited, Apex Footwear Limited, and Rangpur Dairy & Food Products respectively.
