Sonali Aansh profit plummets 83% in Q3

Sonali Aansh Industries Limited witnessed an 83 per cent year-on-year drop in net profits in the third quarter of the current fiscal year.

The publicly traded company’s profit after tax fell to Tk 0.16 crore in the January-March quarter of the fiscal year 2022-23 from Tk 0.96 crore recorded in the same quarter last fiscal.

The company’s third quarterly profit dipped due to the decrease in export turnover and the increase in shares, the company said in a disclosure filed with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Tuesday.

The listed company reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 0.30 for Q3 this fiscal against the EPS of Tk 1.78 for the same quarter of FY22, as per its unaudited financial statements.

Meanwhile, its EPS was Tk 1.32 for July-Mar FY23 against Tk 3.05 for the same period in FY22.

The company’s net cash flow per share (NOCFPS) was Tk 12.51 for July’22-March’23 against Tk 18.80 for July’21-March’22. The company said NOCFPS got decreased due to the enhancement of the number of its shares.

Sonali Aansh’s net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk 115.61 as on March 31, 2023 which was Tk 228.71 as on June 30 last year.
