10 cos account for 25.33% of weekly DSE turnover

The 10 most-traded companies accounted for over 25.3 per cent of the weekly turnover on the prime bourse Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

The week’s top 10 turnover leaders, as per data available on the DSE website, include Meghna Life Insurance, Intraco Refueling Station, Rupali Life Insurance, Rangpur Dairy & Food Products, Navana Pharmaceuticals, Gemini Sea Food, Agni Systems, IT Consultants, Sea Pearl Beach Resort, and aamra networks limited.

Of them, Meghna Life Insurance was the week’s most traded stock, with Tk 237 crore worth of its share changing hands in the week ending on June 8.

With this figure, the company contributed 4.37 per cent of the total turnover of the DSE in the week.

Intraco Refueling Station Limited followed next, with shares worth Tk 233 crore changing hands in the week under review, which was 4.30 per cent of the prime bourse’s total turnover last week.

Meanwhile, Rupali Life Insurance clinched the third spot, Tk 159 crore worth of its shares changing hands, which was 2.93 per cent of the prime bourse’s total weekly turnover.

Rangpur Dairy & Food Products emerged fourth on the chart with shares worth Tk 139 crore changing hands.

With this figure, the company’s contribution to the DSE’s total turnover in the week under review was 2.56 per cent.

Navana Pharmaceuticals Limited notched the fifth spot, with shares worth Tk 116 crore changing hands, which was 2.14 per cent of the Dhaka bourse’s total turnover last week.

At the same time, the turnover of Gemini Sea Food Limited was Tk 103 crore last week, which was 1.91 per cent of the DSE’s total turnover last week.

The turnover of Agni Systems was Tk 102 crore last week, which made it the seventh highest turnover leader on the DSE last week.

IT Consultants Limited followed next with a weekly turnover of Tk 100 crore.

With a turnover of Tk 94 crore, Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa Limited secured the 9th spot.

Aamra networks limited entered the week’s top 10 chart of turnover leaders with a turnover of Tk 91 crore.
