Akhter Parvez, Emdadul Islam elected CSE director

Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has elected Mohammed Akther Parvez Chowdhury, managing director of PHP Stocks and Securities Ltd, and Emdadul Islam, director of BK Capital Management Ltd, as directors of its board, according to a statement from CSE.

The election took place during the 28th annual general meeting of CSE, held on Thursday at the conference hall. CSE chairman Asif Ibrahim conducted the AGM, while Advocate Mohsanuddin Ahmad Chowdhury, chairman of the Election Committee, conducted the election.

CSE shareholders also approved a 5 per cent dividend for the year 2022-23 during the AGM.

The meeting was also attended by CSE Board of Directors members Abdul Halim Chowdhury, Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Ishter Mahal, Mohammad Naquib Uddin Khan, CSE Managing Director (Acting) Md Ghulam Faruque, and Company Secretary Rajib Saha.
