DSE continues downward trend

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) downward trend continued for the fourth consecutive day.

Most sectors led by insurers, cement and bank were down on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.

At close, the benchmark DSEX index shed 51 points or 0.81 per cent to settle at 6,258.

The Shariah-based DSES index lost 8 points or 0.60 per cent to 1,383 while the blue-chip index DS30 dropped 19 points or 0.84 per cent to 2,316.

The DSE turnover stood at Tk 668 crore.

Of the issues traded, 67 advanced, 263 declined, and 50 remained unchanged.
