Non-banking financial institution (NBFI) sector suffered massive selling pressure on the Dhaka Stock Exchange at the end of the day on Sunday.
Among other sectors, insurance sector managed to avoid the sell-off.
At close, the benchmark DSEX index lost 35.99 points or 0.51 per cent to 6991.
Shariah-based DSES index lost 8.80 points or 0.58 to 1,491. Meanwhile, the blue-chip index shed 17.18 points or 0.66 per cent to 2,585.
