BRAC Bank Q1 earnings drop 6%

BRAC Bank Limited has posted a 6 per cent fall in its earnings for the first quarter (Q1) in January-March of the year 2022.

Its earnings per share (EPS) dropped to Tk 0.77 in the January-March period from Tk 0.82 recorded in the same period a year ago, the company said in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Wednesday.

Its consolidated net operating cash flow (NOCFPS) per share turned was Tk 7.20 for January-March 2022 as against negative Tk 6.15 for January-March 2021.

The consolidated net asset value (NAV) of the company per share was Tk 38.94 as of March 31, 2022, and Tk 31.80 as of June 30, 2021.

The Consolidated Net Operating Cash Flow Per Share increased significantly mainly for higher deposits by customers and borrowings from banks, added the notice.

BRAC Bank Listed in 2007, the company has Tk 6,794 crore in market capitalisation, Tk 1,496 crore in paid-up capital and Tk 3,836 crore in surplus reserves.
