CSE lauds proposed budget for FY21-22

Chattogram Stock Exchange has lauded the proposed national budget for 2021-22 fiscal year terming it a capital market friendly one.

In its post-budget reaction on Saturday, the CSE said that the proposed budget promoted welfare of the overall stock market, therefore it is capital market friendly.

Earlier on Thursday, finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal placed a Tk 6,03,681 crore proposed budget for 2021-22 fiscal year before parliament.

The stock exchange also welcomed the government’s intention of introducing various modern instruments such as sukuk, an Islamic bond, derivatives and options in the stock market.

It thanked the finance minister for proposing several positive initiatives in the proposed budget.

CSE in its reaction said that it expects provision of investing undisclosed money in the stock market in the upcoming fiscal year.

The stock exchange said that it also expects increased gap in corporate tax for listed and non-listed companies in the next fiscal year.
