Managing Director of Global Securities Ltd Richard D' Rozario, also president of DSE Brokers Association (DBA), has been elected as new shareholder director of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
A three-member Election Commission was formed on October 4 with Justice Md Abdus Samad, a retired judge of High Court Division of the Supreme Court, as its chairman to hold an election for filling a vacancy in the board of directors of DSE.
The other two members of the Election Commission are DSE shareholder representative Dewan Azizur Rahman and Mohammad A Hafiz.
The Election Commission announced the election schedule on November 7. According to the election schedule, November 26 was the last date for submission of nomination papers. During the period, only Richard D' Rozario filed a nomination paper and he was elected unopposed.
