DSE in green, led by insurers

Most sectors in Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended on a positive note on Monday, led by insurers.

At the end of the day’s trade, the benchmark DSEX index gained 23.50 points or 0.37 per cent to 6,252.

The shariah-based DSES index increased by 5.59 points or 0.41 per cent to 1,354, while the blue-chip index DS30 added 10.19 points or 0.46 per cent to 2,213.

Another important indicator of the market, DSE turnover stood at Tk 552 crore.

Of the issues traded, 87 advanced, 38 declined, and 202 remained unchanged.
