DSE in red, dragged down by insurers and IT

Most sectors in Dhaka Stock Exchange on Wednesday ended their trading on a negative note, dragged down by insurers and IT.

At the end of the day’s trade, the DSEX, the broad index of the premier bourse, deducted 16.26 points or 0.26 per cent to settle at 6,206 points.

DSES, the Shariah-based index, lost 3.34 points or 0.24 per cent to 1,352.

The DS30, the blue-chip index, also lost 5.18 points or 0.23 per cent to close at 2,215.

The DSE turnover stood at Tk 328 crore.

Of the issues traded, 17 advanced, 82 declined, and 213 did not see any price movement.
