Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd Chairman Prof Hafiz Md Hasan Babu has said they will take short-, medium- and long-term plans for the development of the capital market.
He said they will meet with large institutions to increase investment. Besides, if there are any obstacles in the way of investment, initiatives will be taken to remove them.
The DSE chairman made the remarks when the Executive Committee of the Capital Market Journalists’ Forum (CMJF), an organisation of stock market reporters, met him at his office on Thursday.
Hasan said they will take necessary measures as per advice from the institutional investors to improve the investment environment.
At the meeting, CMJF President Ziaur Rahman urged the DSE chairman to prioritise the issues of increasing the capacity, transparency and accountability of the Dhaka bourse.
