Cement and real state lead the rally on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday.
On the flip side, Tannery, food and paper sectors ended marginally down.
At the end of the day’s trading, the benchmark DSEX index gained 17.77 points or 0.27 per cent to close at 6,474.28.
Two other indices also ended lower with the DSE 30 Index, comprising blue chips, adding 4.67 points or 0.33 to 1399.07 and the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) dropped 0.31 points or 0.01 per cent to 2374.07.
The DSE turnover stood at Tk 746 crore.
Of the issues traded, 217 advanced, 116 declined, and 45 remained unchanged.
