DSE in red; dragged down by insurers, IT

Most sectors in Dhaka Stock Exchange on Monday ended its trading on a negative note, dragged down by IT and insurers.

At the end of the day’s trade, the DSEX, the broad index of the premier bourse, deducted 10.92 points or 0.17 per cent to settle at 6,277 points.

DSES, the Shariah-based index, lost 1.50 points or 0.10 per cent to 1,370.

The DS30, the blue-chip index, also lost 6.25 points or 0.28 per cent to close at 2,225.

The DSE turnover stood at Tk 490 crore.

Of the issues traded, 33 advanced, 135 declined, and 167 did not see any price movement.
