DSE ends day’s trade on negative note

Most sectors in Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Monday ended on a negative note, dragged down by insurers.

At the end of the day’s trade, the DSEX, the broad index of the premier bourse, deducted 4.43 points or 0.07 per cent to settle at 6,246 points.

DSES, the Shariah-based index, lost 2.34 points or 0.17 per cent to 1,362.

Among other indices, the DS30, the blue-chip index, also lost 6.76 points or 0.30 per cent to close at 2,207.

The DSE turnover stood at Tk 713 crore.

Of the issues traded, 61 advanced, 116 declined, and 175 did not see any price movement.
