Stocks dive deeper into red

Most sectors on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) drag down by IT and insurers ended in red terrain on Sunday.

At the end of the day’s trade, the benchmark index DSEX shed 48.83 points or 0.74 per cent to 6,515. The Shariah-based DSES index dropped 15.71 points or 1.09 per cent to 1,421.

Among other indices, the blue-chip index DS30 lost 35.77 points or 1.51 per cent to 2,329.

Meanwhile, turnover, another important indicator of the market, closed at Tk 1,810 crore.

Out of 370 stocks traded, 93 issues advanced, 117 declined and 160 remained unchanged.
