Dhaka stocks continued to gain on Thursday with the benchmark DSEX index closing below 7,000-mark after crossing in the morning.
The trading activity also picked up due to rising institutional buying after the year-end adjustment.
The DSEX index rose 57.51 points or 0.83% per cent to 6,987.
Shariah-based DSES index added 8.46 points or 0.57 per cent to 1,472, while the blue-chip index DS30 gained 27.20 points or 1.05 per cent to 2,603.
