Dhaka stocks fell sharply on Sunday with the benchmark DSEX index plummeting to the biggest single-day fall in more than 10 months amid Russia-Ukraine conflict.
At close, DSEX lost 163 points or 2.38 per cent to settle at 6,676 — its lowest since April 5 last year when it fell 181 points.
The Shariah-based DSES index slumped 30 points or 2.07 per cent to 1,445 while the blue-chip index DS30 lost 47 points or 1.87 per cent to 2,467.
The DSE turnover stood at Tk 916 crore.
Of the issues traded, 10 advanced, 365 declined, and four remained unchanged.
