DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, exceeded the 6,900-mark for the first time and stood at 6,904 on Tuesday noon.
The index later came down and settled at 6,884 at the end of the trading session.
The index has been on the rising trend for the fourth straight day at the Dhaka bourse.
