IT, insurance lead the rally on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Wednesday.
At the end of the day’s trading, the benchmark DSEX index gained 155.73 points or 2.40 per cent to close at 6,630.02.
Two other indexes also opened higher with the DSE30 index, comprising blue chips, adding 41.52 points or 1.74 to 2415.59 and the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) gained 30.39 points or 2.17 per cent to 1429.47.
The DSE turnover stood at Tk 769 crore.
Of the issues traded, 365 advanced, 3 declined, and 10 remained unchanged.
