Telecom, financial institution and paper stocks ended lower on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Wednesday.
On the flip side, banks, pharmaceuticals, and food sectors ended marginally up.
At the end of the trade, the benchmark DESX index gained 0.11 points or 0.001 per cent to 6,765.
The Shariah-based DSES index lost 2.34 points or 0.16 per cent to 1,454. Meanwhile, the blue-chip index DS30 shed 0.48 points or 0.01 per cent to 2,458.
The DSE turnover stood at Tk 835 crore.
Of the issues traded, 119 advanced, 228 declined, and 33 remained unchanged.
