Most insurance issues on Wednesday declined at the end of the trade on the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
However, most of the low cap stocks closed in the green.
At the end of the day’s trading, the benchmark DESX index increased 6.92 points or 0.09 per cent to 7,043.
The Shariah-based DSES index gained 1.20 points or 0.07 per cent to 1521. Meanwhile, the blue-chip index DS30 rose 9.34 points or 0.36 per cent to 2,598.
