Most sectors led by IT, cement and engineering ended lower on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday.
At close, the benchmark DSEX index shed 50.08 points or 0.79 per cent to settle at 6,211.
The Shariah-based DSES index lost 9.70 points or 0.70 per cent to 1,367 while the blue-chip index DS30 dropped 14.69 points or 0.63 per cent to 2,295.
The DSE turnover stood at Tk 660 crore.
Of the issues traded, 55 advanced, 278 declined, and 43 remained unchanged.
