Profit-taking pulls down stocks

Stocks fell amid dull trade on Sunday, as investors went for booking profits in the last trading hours.

The benchmark DSEX index plunged over 56 points or 0.78 per cent to settle at 7,186.

Shariah-based DSES index shed 21 points or 1.34 per cent to 1,546 while the blue-chip index DS30 declined 14 points or 0.51 per cent to 2,705.

Out of the 376 issues traded, 65 advanced, 287 declined, and 24 remained unchanged.
