Robi Axiata Limited, Bangladesh’s second-largest telecom firm, ended the third quarter (July-September) in 2022 with Tk 29.2 crore in profit after taxes, witnessing 5.9 per cent year-on-year growth.
The telecom operator posted Tk 2,207.4 crore in revenue for the quarter, Robi said in a statement on Saturday.
Robi’s revenue for the first nine months of 2022 reached Tk 6,331.7 crore and fetched Tk 56.9 crore in profit after taxes for the same period.
The company’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 0.06 in the third quarter.
Robi paid Tk 1,012.2 crore to the government exchequer in Q3 ’22, which was 45.9 per cent of the total revenue for the quarter. Besides, the company made capex investment of Tk 555.5 crore in the same quarter.
The operator’s subscriber base declined by 0.3 per cent compared to last quarter to reach 5.44 crore at the end of September. However, compared to the same quarter last year, the subscriber base grew by 2.5 per cent.
