Stocks continue to slump

Dhaka stocks finished another battered session amid volatility on Thursday.

At the end of the day’s trading, the benchmark DSEX index shed 65.8 points or 0.95 per cent to settle at 6,852.

Shariah-based DSES index declined 9.62 points or 0.66 per cent to 1,442 while the blue-chip index DS30 lost nearly 28 points or 1.08 per cent to 2,602.

The DSE turnover stood at Tk 8,497 crore.

Out of the 362 issues traded, 89 advanced, 241 declined, and 32 remained unchanged.
