Most sectors led by IT, NBFIs, and cement ended higher on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.
At the end of the day's trading, the benchmark DSEX index gained 50.33 points or 0.81 per cent to settle at 6,237.
The Shariah-based DSES index was up 10.24 points or 0.75 per cent to 1,373 while the blue-chip index DS30 rose 19.39 points or 0.84 per cent to 2,307.
The DSE turnover stood so far at Tk 539crore.
Of the issues traded, 273 advanced, 61 declined, and 40 remained unchanged.
