Dhaka stocks witnessed the sharpest rise on Wednesday, extending winning streak for the second straight session.
The benchmark DSEX index rose 114 points or 1.66 per cent to settle at 6,982.
Shariah-based DSES index added 24 points or 1.65 per cent to 1,478 while the blue-chip index DS30 gained 44 points or 1.70 per cent to 2,660.
The DSE turnover stood at Tk 1,163 crore.
Out of the 375 issues traded, 301 advanced, 43 declined, and 31 remained unchanged.
