Dhaka stocks plunged on Tuesday amid heavy sale-off.
At the end of the day’s trading, the benchmark DSEX index shed 92 points or 1.35 per cent to close at 6,703.
Shariah-based DSES index declined 25 points or 1.76 per cent to 1,405 while the blue-chip index DS30 lost 51 points or nearly 2 per cent to 2,516.
The DSE turnover stood at Tk 1,146 crore.
Of the issues traded, 65 advanced, 266 declined, and 40 remained unchanged.
