Dhaka stocks fell steeply amid volatility on Sunday weighed down by negative sentiment.
The benchmark DSEX index shed 70.52 points or 0.99 per cent to close at 7,005 while Shariah-based DSES index shed 30.37 points or 2.00 per cent to 1,487.
Besides, the blue-chip index DS30 shed 1.02 points or 0.04 per cent to 2,698.
Out of the 375 issues traded, 57 advanced, 292 declined, and 26 remained unchanged.
