Textile and insurance stocks on Wednesday surged on the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
All other sectors but cement and jute faced correction.
At the end of the day’s trade, the benchmark DSEX index rose 30.76 points or 0.44 per cent to 6,980.
Shariah-based DSES index increased by 3.32 points or 0.22 per cent to 1,498, while the blue-chip index DS30 gained 14.13 points or 0.55 per cent to 2,550.
