The “National Income Tax Day-2021” is being observed aiming to create awareness among the people for payment of income tax regularly for the development of the country.
The National Board of Revenue held a seminar at its conference room in the capital on Tuesday morning in observance of the day.
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq attended the programme as the chief guest while FBCCI President Md Jashim Uddin attended it as the special guest.
NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem presided over the programme.
The theme of this year’s tax day is “Mujib Barsher Angikar, Sabai Mile Debo Kar” (Mujib year’s commitment, we all will pay tax).
Meanwhile, President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina issued separate messages on the occasion, wishing a success of the day.
