NBR awards Akij Food and Beverages as highest taxpayer

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has recognised Akij Food and Beverages Ltd for paying the highest tax in the July 2020-June 2021 fiscal year.

NBR handed over the award during an event hosted at a hotel in Dhaka, said a media release on Monday.

Akij Venture Group Managing Director & CEO Syed Alamgir received the award on behalf of the organisation.

Akij Food and Beverages contributed a total of Tk 420.61 crore in VAT and supplementary duty to the national exchequer in that fiscal year under the Large Tax Payers Unit (LTU) authority.
