The revenue earnings in the recently concluded fiscal year witnessed a 16 per cent growth compared to the fiscal year of 2020-21.
National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem unveiled the data at a press conference held at the NBR Bhaban in Dhaka on Sunday.
The revenue authorities collected Tk 3,01,633 crore in FY2021-22 with a growth of 16.09 per cent, he said.
The NBR chairman, however, said the revenue collection in the last fiscal year was lower than the fiscal target of Tk 3,30,000 crore.
