National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem on Tuesday expected to complete the automation of bond facility by the next year so that no one can take illegal advantages.
He made the remarks at a pre-budget discussion with the members of the Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF) at the NBR office in the capital.
Mentioning many foreign people have been doing jobs in Bangladesh coming on tourist visas, the NBR chief urged the Ministry of Home Affairs to keep them under scanner.
He also sought cooperation from other ministries and agencies in this regard.
During the discussion, ERF President Sharmeen Rinvy and General Secretary SM Rashidul Islam placed a number of recommendations for the next budget for fiscal 2022-23.
